Tastebuds syncs through your iCloud. On each device, make sure you’re signed in to the same Apple Account and that iCloud is on for Tastebuds in Settings → [your name] → iCloud. The Me screen (tap your photo at the top of Tastebuds) shows whether sync is on. New meals can take a minute to arrive, and sooner with the app open.

You both need Tastebuds. At the table, both of you tap Link up and bring your iPhones close together, or tap your friend’s face under Nearby. When you’re apart, send an invite link from a person or a plan. Friends without the app can open the invite as an App Clip.

Both phones need Tastebuds open on the Link up screen, with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on. If you declined the Local Network prompt, turn it on in Settings → Tastebuds → Local Network. You can always use an invite link instead.

You choose in Me → Sharing. It can be as little as your name and photo. Your spending, notes and photos are never shared. To stop, unlink someone from Me → Sharing or from their page. What you shared with them is deleted.

These use Apple Intelligence on your iPhone, which needs a supported iPhone with Apple Intelligence turned on in Settings → Apple Intelligence & Siri. Without it, Tastebuds still reads menus, just more simply.

Sign in with the Apple Account you subscribed with, then go to Me → Restore purchases.

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. To cancel, go to Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, or manage your subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Export your meals from Me → Export my meals. You can delete any meal, place, plan or person in the app, and with iCloud on the deletion syncs everywhere. See the Privacy Policy for details.
